bruceBruce Vogel has been training students since 1960 (although he will tell you he is only 49 years old). He has over 27,000 flight hours, served as the president of Executive Airline at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, and also served as a director of the Regional Airlines Association.

Bruce consistently trains Multi-Private Pilot students in 37.5 hours and Sport Pilots at the 20-hour minimum. He specializes in soloing students at 6-10 hours, although he never solos a student unless they are safe to solo. Bruce has been placing his students into the regional airlines for 30 years, first as President of Enterprise Airline Academy and now as President of TailWind Aviation. Currently, 100% of the pilots he has recommended to the regional airlines have been hired.

Bruce often says that people have forgotten that during WWII, pilots would solo Stearmans in less than 13 hours. They have also forgotten that in the U.S. Air Force, at 200 hours pilots fly the F-16’s or B-52’s. One of his favorite sayings is: “If you can drive, you can fly
